Axis Tower

Axis Tower, constructed in Burnaby and newly completed in 2009, was designed with the environment in mind. More then half of the podium level green roof is devoted to an expansive planting of drought tolerant succulents and grasses. The eight thousand plus plants installed on the roof help to reduce the tower's ecological footprint, and create a sea of colour and texture for the residents above.

The landscaping of the lower podium is devoted to a common recreation area suitable for children and adults alike. Combined the green roof makes for a practical use of space.
